Ultimate Chicken Wings! 2 flavors: Honey ginger lime & Blackberry BBQ!

Chicken wings are the ultimate party appetizer, tailgate food or the perfect side car to pizza night!  No one is ever mad when chicken wings are on the menu!  Now you have 2 new ways of eating and sharing your favorite appetizer: honey ginger lime, blackberry BBQ! Both flavors are to die for!! 

Honey Ginger Lime

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.  In a large bowl combine ¼ cup sesame oil, 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp onion powder and ¼ tsp cayenne pepper.  Toss 2 lbs chicken wings, two at a time, in the oil/spice mixture to coat both sides.  Place wings on the wire rack in the prepared baking sheet and place in oven for 15 minutes.  While the wings are cooking prepare the sauce by combining ½ cup honey, 1 ½ inch fresh ginger, grated and the zest of 1 lime in another large bowl.  When the wings are done, toss them in the prepared sauce and return to the wire rack and into the oven for an additional 15 minutes.  If there is any sauce remaining it can be used to top the wings before serving or as a dip.  Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.

Blackberry BBQ

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.  In a large bowl combine 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp mustard powder, ½ tsp ground ginger, ¼ tsp ground cinnamon and ¼ tsp cayenne pepper.  Toss 2 lbs chicken wings, two at a time, in the spice mixture to coat both sides.  Place wings on the wire rack in the prepared baking sheet and place in oven for 15 minutes.  While the wings are cooking prepare the sauce by combining 1 cup blackberries, pureed, 3 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp molasses and 1 tbsp tapioca/potato/arrowroot starch in another large bowl.  When the wings are done, toss them in the prepared sauce and return to the wire rack and into the oven for an additional 15 minutes.  If there is any sauce remaining it can be used to top the wings before serving or as a dip.  Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
