Salisbury Steak Chili! (gluten,grain,egg,dairy,nut free,low carb & paleo)

Enjoy Salsbury Steak? You'll enjoy this even more! This meaty chili is super easy to make and tastes awesome on its own- but to take it to the next level serve it over some noodles and top with some shredded cheddar cheese and diced raw onions.

If you want your chili thicker feel free to sub some of the broth for a can of tomato sauce!

 Salisbury Steak Chili!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 7oz mushrooms, chopped

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dry mustard

  • 2/3 cup ketchup

  • ¼ cup tomato paste

  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium high heat add the ground beef, breaking up with a wooden spoon into small pieces. Once some fat begins to render add the onion, mushrooms and dry seasonings, stir well to combine and cook for 6 minutes or until onions become tender.

  2. To the pot add the ketchup, tomato paste and worcestershire sauce, stir well and cook for one minute. Add the broth, stir and allow to come to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and allow to cook for 10 minutes or until reduced to desired thickness.

  3. Spoon into bowls and serve.
